# AI Translation

> Accelerate localization with AI-assisted translation workflows.

AI translation helps speed up first-pass localization. You can translate selected
keys in bulk; the job runs in the background and reports progress as it completes.

## Providers

LinguLink runs translations through managed AI providers with automatic fallback —
**OpenAI**, **Anthropic (Claude)**, and **Together (Llama)**. If the preferred
provider is unavailable or over quota, the next one is used. Provider credentials
are managed by the platform; you do not need to supply your own API keys for AI
translation.

## Usage & Quota

AI translation consumes your plan's monthly **AI character** allowance. When the
allowance is exhausted, bulk AI translation is blocked until the next billing
period. Free plans include a small monthly allowance; paid plans include
substantially more.

## Recommended Process

1. Select source keys
2. Generate AI suggestions for target locales
3. Run human review for quality and brand tone
4. Approve and publish

* Early drafts for large locale expansions
* Backfilling long-tail keys with review

## Quality Control Checklist

* Verify placeholders and markup are preserved
* Check terminology against brand glossary
* Flag culturally sensitive copy for manual rewrite
* Run native-speaker review before production
